After the success of I AM WOMAN Vol. 1 in 2022, RedWillow Brewery decided to host another International Women's Day Collaboration Brew in 2023, this time making it a community-driven experience open to more participants. On March 7th, fifteen exceptional women from various backgrounds gathered to create I AM WOMAN Vol. 2, a complex and empowering IPA that captures the essence of female strength and unity.
The event provided an opportunity for the women to network and collaborate while engaging in all aspects of the brewing process. The diverse group, including business owners, photographers, researchers, and bar managers, embraced the chance to learn from each other and share their passion for the craft.
Hannah, RedWillow's Sales Representative and designer, consulted with the collaborators on whether to retain the artwork from I AM WOMAN Vol. 1 or pursue a new direction. The group decided to keep the original design but update the colours to showcase the beer's evolution. This year's artwork features Pantone's 2023 Colour of the Year, Viva Magenta, a bold, fearless, and inclusive shade that encapsulates the spirit of the collaboration.
RedWillow Brewery was honoured to host such passionate and inspiring women, who contributed to crafting a remarkable beer that symbolizes their collective strength and determination. The I AM WOMAN series is more than a RedWillow creation; it is a testament to the power of unity and collaboration, belonging to everyone who shares its values and vision.
